Lake McDonald at Glacier National Park in Montana - one of the beautiful Places in the World

Glacier National Park one of the beautiful park of the world. It is located on the border of Canada & United States. The natural ecosystem of this park is known as “Crown of the Continent Ecosystem”. Virtually all the plants & animals which existed at the time of European explorers first entered the regions are present in this park. Many climates and micro climates are found in the park. Average temperature of this park usually drops as elevation increases. Due to its lower elevation the western side of the park has a milder and wetter climate.

During the winter & spring cloudburst become so high. In the summer snowfall can occure at any time. The winter can bring enhancement cold waves. Snowfall are significant over the corse of the winter. For the time of tourist season, temperature become high at daytime and reach to 70°F (16 to 21 °C), and at nighttime  temperature drop into the 40 °F (4 °C) range.  In the lower western valleys temperature goes down. Temperatures in the summer reach 90 °F (30 °C).

The largest lake in Glacier National Park is Lake Mcdonald. This lake is approximately 10 miles long and over a mile wide and 472 feet deep. The surface area of the lake is 6,823 acres.

Along the "Going to the sun road", there are many places you get out of the car and par & can enjoy the natural beauty. The most amazing thing I think is the gorgeous rainbow colored rocks that make up the quadrant of the lake. You can see the quadrant for a long way because the water is so clear, it’s gorgeous
